Life is Beautiful

“Life is like an exciting playground. If you want to enjoy it, you should’nt be afraid to try new things.” “I am nothing special; of this I Am sure. I am a common tao with common thoughts, and I’ve led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten, but Ive loved another with all my heart and soul, and to me, this has always been enough”

the wedding

Is it possible for a man to tuly change? Or do character and habit forms the immovable boundaries of our lives? — that is the prologue question of Wilson Lewis, the son of law of Noah and Allie(the Notebook)

His answer in the epilogue is —

Yes, a man can truly change.

The events of the past year have taught me much about myself, and a few universal truths. I learned for instance that while wounds can be inlficted easily upon those we love, it is often much more difficult to heal them. Yet, the process of healing those wounds provided the richest experience of my life, leading me to believe that while I’ve often over estimated what I could accomplish in a day, I had under estimated what I could do in a year. But most of all, I learned that it is possible for 2 people to fall in love all over again, even when there has been a lifetime of diappointment between them.

Being romantic doesn’t come easily. It is a daily struggle to reinvest myself, and part of me wonders whether it always will be.

The Wedding, by Nicholas Sparks

How priceless you are….

A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20.00 bill. In a room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this $20 bill?" Hands started going up. He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this. He proceeded to crumple up the $20 dollar bill. He then asked, "Who still wants it?" Still the hands were up in the air. Well, he replied, "What if I do this?" And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. "Now, who still wants it?" Still the hands went into the air. My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20. Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value. Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who DO LOVE you. The worth of our lives comes not in what we do but by WHO WE ARE. You are special - Don’t EVER forget it." If you do not pass this on, you may never know the lives it touches, the hurting hearts it speaks to, or the hope that it can bring. Count your blessings, not your problems. And remember: amateurs built the ark … professionals built the Titanic. If God brings you to it - He will bring you through it.

My Special List

I have a list of folks I know… all written in a book, And every now and then.. I go and take a look. That is when I realize these names… they are a part, not of the book they’re written in… but taken from the heart. For each Name stands for someone… who has crossed my path sometime, and in that meeting they have become… the reason and the rhyme. Although it sounds fantastic… for me to make this claim, I really am composed… of each remembered name. Although you’re not aware… of any special link, just knowing you, has shaped my life… more than you could think. So please don’t think my greeting… as just a mere routine, your name was not… forgotten in between. For when I send a greeting… that is addressed to you, it is because you’re on the list… of folks I’m indebted to. So whether I have known you… for many days or few, in some ways you have a part… in shaping things I do. I am but a total… of many folks I’ve met, you are a friend I would prefer… never to forget. Thank you for being my friend!

riversongs greeting for you
